Ross

Kenton Ross came to East Texas State University as dean of the College of Business Administration (now College of Business & Technology) in August 1978. He received his bachelor of science degree in 1952, and master of science degree in 1955 from Oklahoma State University. He received his doctorate of education degree in August 1961 from the University of California, Los Angeles. Kenton is a certified public accountant and retired Colonel in the Army Reserve.

After serving two years in the army, Kenton taught business courses in Tulsa Public Schools from 1955 to 1957. He then returned for graduate work at UCLA before joining the faculty at Arizona State University. In 1962 he returned to his alma mater, Oklahoma State University, as a faculty member. He served there as Professor of Accounting and Director of Business Research. In 1975, Kenton joined the University of North Florida as Head of the Department of Accounting. After serving as Dean of the College of Business and Technology at A&M-Commerce for six years, Kenton returned to full-time teaching in the Department of Accounting in 1984.

Kenton retired from A&M-Commerce in May 1995, and was appointed Professor Emeritus in May 1996.

Eula Ross earned a bachelor of science degree from Phillips University in Enid Oklahoma in May 1952, and a master of education degree from Arizona State University in August 1962. Eula began her teaching career as a nineteen-year old in her home town of Ringwood, Oklahoma, where she taught for three years before her marriage to Kenton. While following Kenton around the country, she taught two years in the Tulsa Public Schools, three years in Scottsdale Arizona, and three years in Ponte Vedra Beach Florida. Since retirement, Eula keeps busy with her extensive genealogy work and needlework.

After retirement in 1995, Kenton and Eula moved to McKinney to be closer to their children.
