21.99.10.R1 Use of Licensed Commercial Software

Supplements System Policy: System Regulation 21.99.10

1. Texas A&M University-Commerce provides a sufficient number of licensed copies of software such that workers can get their work accomplished in an expedient and effective manner. Each department can make appropriate arrangements with the software vendor(s) for additional licensed copies if they are needed for business activities.

2. Non-A&M-Commerce owned software or software in the public domain shall not be installed on University owned systems, networks, or computers unless approved by the department manager or Computing, Telecommunications and Information services (CTIS) based on examination of the software license. CTIS or departmental administrator(s) will remove such unlicensed software unless the employee can provide a license or authorization for the use, copying or distribution of materials.
