1. A nonresident student who holds a full-time master’s or doctoral assistantship may have out-of-state fees waived.
2. To be eligible to receive a waiver of out-of-state fees, a master's or doctoral assistant must:
a. meet the minimum academic requirements (minimum grade point average and GRE or GMAT score) for holding an assistantship;
b. be employed at least half-time in an assistant position, i.e., hold a full-time assistantship in which the student teaches a minimum of six semester hours per semester or works a minimum of twenty hours per week;
c. be involved in teaching, research or a service function which relates to their degree program.
3. Students desiring a waiver should contact The Graduate School to confirm their eligibility.
4. Final determination of eligibility will rest with the Dean for Graduate Studies and Research.
