MBA with a Minor
NOTE: Pre-Requisites (Acct, BA, Eco, Fin, Mgt 501 or Mkt 501) can not be considered an elective in any Graduate Program in Business. All MBA students are required to complete 6 hours of electives. If a minor is desired all elective hours should be taken in the minor area, outlined below. Keep in mind NONE of the minors listed are guaranteed in an ONLINE format. Many times the courses are offered in this venue, but we cannot ensure any particular minor can be completed totally ONLINE.
Accounting:
At least four courses from Accounting. (Includes Acct 525)
Economics:
At least four courses from Economics. (Includes Eco 562 and/or 576)
Finance:
At least four courses from Finance. (Includes Fin 504)
International Business:
Any four courses from: Eco 528, Fin 571, Mgt 590 or 597 (Approved topic), Mkt 586. Students may also substitute up to four courses from the British Studies program (Approved topics).
Management Information Systems
Prerequisites (credit will be given for previously taken courses): MIS 128, MIS 502, CSci 504
Advanced Courses: MIS 524, 526, 579, Mkt 573
Marketing:
At least four courses from Marketing. (Includes Mkt 521)
Management of Technology:
Two courses from: Mgt 590, Mgt 591, Mgt 594, Mgt 597 (Approved topic)
Two courses from: TMGT course list. (Excluding TMGT 595 & 599; Department Head approval required)
