Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Technology

The Industrial Technology program is accredited by the Association of Technology,Management and Applied Engineering(ATMAE),formerly the National Association of Industrial Technology (NAIT)

Industrial Technology graduates bridge the gap between the theoretical engineer and production level personnel. Persons filling this position must have unique qualification and must possess wide knowledge of scientific and technological principles relating to production and management.

Industrial Technology program prepares technical management-oriented professionals for employment in business, industry, government and service industries. The complexity of contemporary business and industry requires highly trained personnel with competencies in: (1) technical subjects, (2) scientific principles, (3)leadership and management, and (4) communications.

Career opportunities for the industrial technologist are varied and cross-functional between technical and managerial activities. Graduates typically work with problems of productivity improvement, materials management, process and product control, quality, staffing, team building, safety and communications. They are often involved in production, supervision, training and development, distribution and technical sales.
