Proposals accepted now until March 20, 2012
Please consider lending your expertise to the Bill Martin Jr Symposium by being a presenter for a forty-five minute break-out session. Topics appropriate for this conference range from sessions on children’s/adolescent literature, pedagogy, classroom management, technology, or specialty areas such as Bilingual/ESL, Reading, Special Education, or Gifted & Talented. We encourage sessions targeted for specific grade levels such as EC-4, middle level, or secondary.
We welcome proposals that honor the legacy of Bill Martin Jr. which allows children to experience the joy of language through reading books.
Proposals will be accepted from February 20th through March 20th through our online proposal website: www.tamu-commerce.edu/edci/bmjproposal.asp. Be prepared to provide contact information for the lead presenter, name and organization for additional presenters, session description for the program (50 words), in-depth description that conveys content and structure (300 words), and description of skills, knowledge, tools, and/or materials/handouts for participants.
Presenters will receive acceptance notifications by April 6th, 2012. Registration is available at the reduced presenter rate.
For questions or comments about proposals and presentations, please contact Merry Boggs at merry_boggs@tamu-commerce.edu or 254-485-6811.
