Scholarships
Each year, competitive scholarship opportunities are offered to students within the Department. The number of awards and award amounts vary, depending on the scholarship and monies available in each fund, but awards typically range from $250 to $500 each. Multiple awards may be made from each scholarship fund. A call for applications is made early each spring semester. Awards are credited to students accounts for the following fall semester. Departmental scholarships and eligibility criteria for each are:
GRADY TICE EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship competition opens to Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral Students majoring in a Higher Education specialization (HiEd, ETec, or TDev) within the Department of Educational Leadership.
ROBERT "BOB" MUNDAY HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship competition opens to Higher Education (SCIH) Doctoral Students
with 15+ hours of doctoral coursework and degree plan on file in Graduate Office.
BEATRICE MURPHY SCHOLARSHIP
Competitive Scholarships available to graduate students majoring in
Educational Technology-Leadership (ETLE) or Educational Technology-Library Science (ETLS).
M. B. NELSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship competition opens to Educational Administration
Doctoral Students at dissertation writing stage.
TEXAS ASSOCIATION of EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY (TAET)
ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship Competition open to graduate students pursuing a master's in Educational Technology, a doctorate in Educational Administration, or a doctorate in Higher Education at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Doctoral students will have a minor or previous education in the area of educational technology. Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, be a U.S. citizen, and a Texas resident. Requires submission of three reference forms.

Pending Scholarship Fund. Donations accepted.

Certification students not meeting these criteria are not eligible for these scholarships.
The department does not currently have a scholarship for which EdAd Masters students are eligible.
