Ruth Whitely
I am an ad-interim psychology professor with a PhD in counseling, trained at Texas A & M University-Commerce. I teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate level. I am also a licensed professional counselor in private practice specializing in children, at-risk adolescents, families, parenting issues, anger management, depression and group work. I also conduct equine-assisted therapy and corporate workshops. My research interests include animal-assisted psychotherapy, play therapy, bullying, hypnosis, breath workand biofeedback. Overall, I view being a therapist, an educator and equine-assisted therapist as my life's work.
