Faculty Member Advocates for Dyslexic Students

 Commerce, TEXAS (April 30, 2012)—Suzanne Larkin, Texas A&M University-Commerce alumnus, presented a visual communication presentation for parents of children with dyslexia on April 4.

 Her presentation entitled “Multisensory At-Home Language Learning Reinforcement For Elementary Students with Dyslexia” was part of her master’s thesis. Larkin provided written information, brochures and visual aids for parents of dyslexic children. Her exhibit was on display in the McDowell Administration Building.

 Larkin graduated from A&M-Commerce with her master’s degree in 2011. She focused her studies on dyslexia and worked with Scottish Rite Hospital. She is a faculty member of A&M-Commerce and teaches three classes in Dallas.
