Texas A&M University-Commerce is known for our long tradition of excellence as well as our unique legacy of preparing generations of leaders.  A&M-Commerce, founded in 1889, is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the State of Texas and enjoys the reputation of being a high quality Doctoral/Research Intensive University in the North Texas region.  In 1996, we joined the Texas A&M University System, which is one of the largest and most prestigious university systems in the United States.  As a result, the impact on educational and research endeavors for students as well as faculty members has been tremendous.

Our graduates are employed throughout the United States and beyond as artists, teachers, researchers, administrators, musicians, programmers and leaders in schools, universities, government agencies, businesses and our graduates excel as entreprenurs.  We are committed to the ultimate success of our students and are truly training tomorrow's leaders today.

Through one of our three colleges, Arts & Sciences, Business & Technology and Education & Human Services, our more than 3,500 graduate students pursue graduate degrees in over 44 master's programs and 6 doctoral programs, teacher certification and graduate certificates.  Our graduate faculty are nationally known for their scholarly accomplishments, as well as their dedication to providing a collaborative environment for students.
