Honors College

As a member of the Honors College, you'll join other high-performing students in small classes designed around a strong curriculum. Students of every major take 30 credit hours of honors courses and write an honors thesis under faculty guidance. Outside of class, you'll live with other Honors scholars and take part in organizations and activities that are unique to Honors College students.

Membership in the Honors College requires:

Completion of an application for the Honors College which is a separate application from the university application.

  • Must be an entering Freshman with an ACT of 27 or higher or an SAT score (Critical Reading and Math) of 1200.*
  • Graduate in the top 10% of your high school graduation class.*
  • Interview with the Honors College advisor at TAMU-Commerce.
  • Be committed to a four year Honors College program.
