Schedule a Tour

The best way to learn about A&M-Commerce is to visit campus. You’ll meet students and enjoy exploring our spectacular new student center, recreation center, science building, and more. Experience the vibrant life of our campus community, including more than 100 student organizations, 11 intercollegiate sports teams, an award-winning campus newspaper, and an active Greek system.

We’re located in the quaint college town of Commerce, Texas, about an hour’s drive northeast of Dallas. It’s the perfect environment to learn, make friends, take on academic challenges, and build relationships with world-class professors who not only spend time with you in class, but make themselves available after class. Our informal, small-town atmosphere creates a close-knit community of students, faculty, and staff.

Weekday Tours
Schedule a campus tour with our Lion Student Ambassadors for a firsthand look at campus.  Tours start promptly at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and last about 1 hour.  Please make reservations at least two days in advance.  A confirmation email will be sent the following business day with additional details including directions, parking, and how to contact the academic department of your choice.  

The campus tour does not include housing; students should contact housing directly to schedule an appointment at 903.886.5797.  Please note that the campus tour is a walking tour and prospective students or family members who require special mobility assistance should contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office after registering online at 903.886.5000. 

For the safety of our other guests, current students, and campus staff we do ask that all non-service pets are left at home. Please do not leave children or family members requiring special supervision unattended in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Guidance Counselors and Special Program Coordinators:

Special groups, high schools, and outreach program tours are scheduled exclusively by appointment.  Group visits are available on Wednesdays and Fridays.  At the current time, we are only able to sufficiently accommodate groups of 50 or less.  Please note some resources will not be available to groups larger than 50.   To request a campus visit for your group please complete the appropriate form below and fax to the attention of the campus tour coordinator at 903.468.8698.  Request should be made at least two weeks in advance.

Preview Day
In addition to individual tours, you can learn about A&M-Commerce through our Main Event Preview Day in early fall and spring. It’s a free, activity-filled event designed for prospective high school juniors and seniors and transfer students and their families. You’ll meet with faculty, admissions and financial aid counselors, residence life representatives, and student organizations. We will treat you to a free lunch, give aways, scholarship drawings and residence life and campus tours!
