Meet Our Students

Join students like you who are drawn to the high-quality programs, world-class faculty, and small-town community at Texas A&M University-Commerce. It’s easy to take advantage of great leadership opportunities with more than 120 student organizations where you can get involved.  Everyone gets a chance to work one-on-one with faculty because professors genuinely care about students and small class sizes create a comfortable environment where students are eager to participate.

“When students leave, they’re as confident as any university graduates in the country,” says music professor Chris White.

Relationships
You’ll appreciate the close, personal attention you receive from well-respected faculty, who put teaching and students first. It’s what you’d expect from a small, private college, but at A&M-Commerce, you don’t pay private-school tuition. In addition, small class sizes, programs such as Freshman Leadership class and Mayo College, and exciting activities such as Lions Roar Week bring students together so it’s easy to know nearly everyone on campus.

Success

“Students want to be here. They value their education,” says social work professor Brenda Moore. As a result, students work hard both inside and outside the classroom. Imagine getting a chance to work as an intern for top employers in your field, to be on staff for the award-winning student newspaper, The East Texan, or to perform research with top professors.
